Hi!  I'm Amy.  Welcome to Purple Pineapple Studio!

 

I specialize in creating easy, beautiful quilts with a modern aesthetic.

 

I live in Wisconsin with my husband, and I am lamenting the loss of my 21 year old son who recently moved to Indianapolis and doesn't call his mother enough. I'm a founding member and past President of the Madison Modern Quilt Guild.

My patterns are printed on glossy 5" x 7" postcards, with instructions on the back.  I love the challenge of printing patterns on cards. It imposes a lot of limitations and creative restrictions on the types of patterns that I can write. I need to explain the directions as succinctly and simply as I can with very clear diagrams and images. It's not easy! But I'm up for the challenge. Embracing constraints drives creativity!
